With assistance from Access Plus Capital, Bakersfield’s Brooke Bratcher recently opened Bratcher Home & Design – a brand-new interior design studio. Hear more about Brooke’s process, her mindset, and her journey toward launching her own business, in this Access Plus Capital success story. Brooke is a residential interior designer who focuses on high-end design and incorporating her clients’ existing pieces into their revamped interiors. Brooke prides herself on guiding her clients through the entire interior design process, no matter how large or small their project.
“When I’m finished, I want the client to feel excited,” said Brooke, “and I want them to feel like they have their home, unique to themselves.”
After being referred by a local Bakersfield bank, Brooke contacted us looking for startup funding and working capital. We were glad to help Brooke secure her new location in downtown Bakersfield, and answer any questions she had as she was starting her business.
“I relied on Access Plus Capital so much,” said Brooke. “When I decided to take out a loan to start my business, I did not know what to expect. I think I was capable of answering most of my own questions, but whenever I felt myself getting stuck, I was able to reach out to the Access Plus Capital team, and they were so amazing.”
Now, Bratcher Home & Design is open for business – and Brooke still gets just a bit excited whenever she walks through the doors of her own new space.
“I remember walking into the space and seeing it just the way it is today, and it was all that I dreamed of and more,” said Brooke. “I’m so happy, and the community’s response has been amazing. I’m really, really enjoying this.”
